Junious Elmore  Parker
Junious Elmore Parker, 91 of Hartswood Terrace passed away February 8, 2017. Junious was born in Chesterfield Co., SC to the late James and Nellie Lowery Parker. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Anthony Parker. He served his country in the United States Navy and was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War, retiring after 20 years of service as a Chief Petty Officer; Junious is a member of Great Bridge Baptist Church and is a member of Norview Masonic Lodge #113 AF and AM.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 65 years, Juanita Nolan Parker; daughters, Phyllis P. Jenkins (Sid), Paula P. Picklesimer and Peggy S. Rawls; grandchildren, Olivia and Leah Jenkins, Emily, Kasey and William Picklesimer, and Philip Walker.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 2 to 3 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home and Cremations Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Richard Castleberry officiating. His final resting place will be Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Bennettsville, SC with Burroughs and Cooper Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. At the request of the family in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children at www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org/donate .
