Norman Rodney Jackson, 79, passed away January 14, 2017. Norman was born in Norfolk to the late Edward and Alice Jones Jackson and was the loving husband of the late Grace Collins Jackson. He was also predeceased by his son, Douglas Franklin Jefferson Jackson. Norman worked as a Dock Hand for Overnight Transportation and was a longtime member of Indian River Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband and cherished father.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Elizabeth Louise Jackson, Grace Mae Jackson, and Amy Marie Jackson; brothers, Roy Jackson and Harry Jackson; and a host of other family and friends.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at Indian River Baptist Church, 1600 Laurel Ave, Chesapeake on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach.
