Bar­bara Anderson Cox, 73, went home to be with her Lord December 23, 2016. Bar­bara was born in Norfolk to the late Odell and Violet Williams Anderson. She was predeceased by a brother, Ronnie Anderson. Barbara retired as a Driver with the Chesapeake Public Schools after more than 30 years of service; she is a member of Wild Meadow Baptist Church, White Sulphur Springs, WV and former member of Unity Free Will Baptist Church, Chesapeake.

Left to cherish her mem­ory is her loving husband, Myles L. Cox, Sr.; daughter, Donna Cox Lang and her husband, Julian; son, Myles L. Cox, Jr.; grandchildren, Julian and his wife, Melanie, Nathan and Ashley, and her husband, Shawn; great-grandchildren, Elijah and Olivia; sister, June Cole; and her brothers, Max and Gary Anderson.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Thurs­day, December 29, 2016 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. A service to celebrate her life will be held Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Unity Free Will Baptist Church, 360 Hickory Road E, Chesa­peake.
