Obituary for Marian Patricia Dodd Thomas

Marian Patricia Dodd Thomas, 84, passed away November 4, 2016 in her home with her daughters by her side. Marian was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada to the late Walter and Grace Bowes Dodd and was the loving wife of 46 years to the late Evner John Thomas. She was a longtime member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and member and former President of its Sunshine Club, "Gray Pearls" Prayer Group, and was named "Filipino Grandmother of the Year". Marian was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Knights of Columbus, Fr. Nicholas J. Habets Council #4632, the Irish Society, Red Hat Society of Virginia Beach, and the Christian Women's Business Association.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Susan P. Rohanna (Robert) and Shelley A. Esposito (John); son, Brian J. Thomas (Debbi); grandchildren, Jack Byrne (Savannah), Andrew Rohanna, Brian Rohanna, Seth Thomas, Victoria Esposito, Matthew Esposito, Caroline Esposito, and Hanna Thomas; great-grandchild, Warren Byrne; and a host of other family and friends.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, November 11, 2016, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1396 Lynnhaven Parkway, Virginia Beach at 11 a.m. with Rev. Merlito Abiog officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the Mass. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery. Graham Funeral Home, Chesapeake will be caring for arrangements.
