CHESAPEAKE- Charlotte Nash Etchison, died peacefully in her home on October 20, 2016. She was born to Norris Vernon and Beulah Carr Nash on March 12, 1927 in Baltimore, MD. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Carville Lee Etchison, Sr., grandson, Matthew Etchison and sister, Ida Jean Johnson. Charlotte graduated from the Church Home and Hospital, School of Nursing in 1947, Baltimore, MD. She worked in many area Hospitals and retired from the American Red Cross in 1986.

Charlotte leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Diana McGrath (Timothy) and a son, Carville Lee Etchison, Jr. (Nancy). She leaves four grandchildren, Carla Bengtson, Caroline McGrath, Victoria Hawkins and Andrew Etchison. She also leaves eight great-grandchildren who will dearly miss their “Grandmama”. Charlotte had many dear friends from Ocean View Presbyterian Church in Ocean View, Delaware and Bethany Presbyterian Church in Zuni, VA all of whom she dearly loved.

A celebration of her life will take place on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 2 pm at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Rd., Chesapeake. The family invites you to join them for a reception immediately following the service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest privately at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, Delaware. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society in Charlotte’s name.
