Tama Chappell  Evans
Tama Chappell Evans, 94, passed away October 3, 2016. Tama was born in Dendron, VA to the late William and Helena Stryker Chappell. She was a longtime member of Rosemont Christian Church. Tama was a member of the Beta Sigma Pi Sorority and retired as a Teachers Aide after more than 30 years with the Chesapeake Public Schools. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Robert Ira Evans, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Robert Ira Evans, III and his wife, Doris; brother, H.R. "Ranny" Chappell; and a host of other family and friends.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach.
