Audrey O'Neil  Briggs
Chesapeake - Audrey Cofield Briggs, 89, went to be with the Lord on September 24, 2016. There she is reunited with her loving husband of 51 years, Willie Briggs. Audrey was born in Merry Hill, NC and resided in Chesapeake where she was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church and The Dorcas Sunday School Class. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and crocheting and regularly contributed her creations to Deep Creek Baptist Church's Threads of Hope. Audrey was predeceased by her parents, Braxton and Betty Cofield and her sisters, Grace Brown and Betty Sue Bickford.

She is survived by her son, Jay Briggs and wife Sharon, her daughter, Beth Culpepper and husband Ray, granddaughters Dana Culpepper and Katie Horst, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Monday, September 26, 2016 from 6-7:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home followed by burial at Green Lawn Cemetery, Chesapeake.
