Obituary for Carl Eugene Hall Sr.

Carl Eugene  Hall Sr.
Carl Eugene Hall, 70 passed away August 19, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Carl was born in Norfolk, VA to the late Cosby Haskin and Mabel Frances Moodispaw Hall. He dedicated his life’s work to ensuring building safety and code compliance serving as the Director of Inspections with the City of Chesapeake, Codes Administrator in Virginia Beach and in his private business Code Consulting and Inspections. Carl held more than a dozen professional certifications and was a Certified Building Official and a member of the International Code Council. He was a longtime member of Great Bridge United Methodist Church.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 47 years, Linda M. Hall; sons, Carl E. Hall, Jr. and Clayton E. Hall and his wife Amanda: and a host of other family and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Celesteann Bremer and Angie Maher, PA; the staff of Virginia Oncology; the staff of Medi Home Hospice, especially Nurses Jen and Barb, Jean and Chaplain Cheryl for their care and support.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 11:00 am at Great Bridge United Methodist Church, 201 Stadium Drive, Chesapeake, with Pastor Tim Craig and Associate Pastor Amanda Webber officiating. The family will receive friends at a reception immediately following the service at the church.
