Scott David Perkins, 60, passed away August 12, 2016. Scott was born in Racine, Wisconsin to the late Ronald and Barbara Bundy Perkins. Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his twin brother, James Michael "Mick" Perkins, mother-in-law, Carol Ann Bierman, and brother-in-law, Willie Schumaker. Scott retired as a Staff Sergeant with the United States Air Force. He worked at DMS Management in Norfolk and was the Sergeant in charge of security at Greenbrier Mall. Scott enjoyed collecting WWII militaria and loved cheering on his Green Bay Packers.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 35 1/2 years, Tina Marie Perkins; son, Scott David Perkins, II and his girlfriend, Shelby Rivera; daughter, Lisa Nicole Perkins Haeusser and her husband, Roger; granddaughter and light of his life, Callie Marie Haeusser; sisters, Sandra Schumaker and Dawn Cooper; brother, Isa "Chris" Sadlon; father-in-law, Arvid Bierman; brothers-in-law, James Arvid Bierman and his wife, Julie and Patrick Andrew Bierman and his wife, Kim; sister-in-law, Anna Perkins Porter; several nieces, nephews, family and friends and constant feline companions, Cody and Favre.
Catholic prayers will be offered at Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake with full military honors on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Deacon Mark Harriman officiating. A reception will immediately follow at the funeral home. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. He will be laid to rest at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk at a later date.
