Condolence From: Kathryn Dawson
Condolence: If each person who was moved by Matt or his father sent one dollar, the bank could not hold it all. But that doesn't matter to Susie, her family is the most precious gift. I remember well years before the boys were even born, Mike and Susie planning for their family. No one could have provided and planned better for their dreams. One can do everything right, and still feel the unfair harshness of this world. My heart is with you Susie, broken as it is. I love you.

Condolence: Michael and Matthew I did not know you but I know your mom! She is a sweet soul and because I know that, I know each of you must also have had those attributes. Watch over her, give her strength when she thinks she has no more, as her journey is going to be a difficult one without the two of you by her side. Rest in Peace.

Condolence From: Elaine
Condolence: My family and I would like to express our deepest sympathy over the loss of your dear Matthew. May you find comfort in your loving memories and the warmth of family and friends. A scripture that has uplifted me during times such as this is found at Revelation 21:4. There it describes a time when death and pain will be gone forever after God restores his original purpose for the earth. We will even see our loved ones again who we have lost in death (John 5:28 & 29). It is our hope that these words bring you a measure of comfort during this difficult time as well. Once again, please accept our condolences as you deal with your loss.

Condolence: Matthew, you have truly touched my heart in so many ways. Thank you for always making me laugh. Thank you for talking to me for hours on end. Our conversations were always the most sincere. Thank you for taking care of me when I was sick. You always offered to do anything for me. Thank you for standing up for me, and reminding me that you were always there for me. Our little inside jokes, like your Mickey voice, and secrets are things I will never forget. You've supported me and taught me so much. You were someone I trusted my life with. I promise to always listen to your favorite song and continue our love for the 80's. I promise to visit Scotland for you one day, since you always wanted to go. I'll always deepen my knowledge in history for you because we loved to learn about it so much. I know you're in a much better place now, so I promise to live to the fullest in your memory. You were someone who told me to follow my dreams and taught me that I could accomplish my goals. I will continue to pray for your mom and family to find peace and strength. I miss and love you very much.

Condolence: The first time I met Matthew was at the 2009 Holiday party at BRI. I knew he was special then. He and Sean became friends. We are all better people because of this wonderful young man. Sean said Chemistry class at Hickory High was fun because he sat next to Matthew. Matthew and Michael will be forever missed. We have wonderful memories to keep us going. Susie, may you find peace in this very difficult time. Dave, Lesley, James and Sean

Condolence: I've never been one to have a loss for words however, there are no words that I can comprise that could covey the plethora of emotions I am feeling as I write. I only pray that one day my words can bring a semblance of comfort. I was blessed to be your school counselor from 3rd--5th grade. Although I spotted a growing young man at your sporting events or in your band uniform, my mind always thought back to that little boy with khaki pants and a collared shirt carrying yet another book he was reading! You were wise beyond your years to say the least. I will never forget how often you'd ask me how my day was going and carry on a conversation like a little adult. I always told you that you'd be a student I'd never forget because you left an impression in my heart! I was so proud to see you as a high schooler and although I didn't get a chance to come hug your neck often, I did cheer for you as I did my son on the opposing team. My younger son always asked why I cheered for Hickory? I told him bc they are my babies too! I'm so saddened by your sudden departure but, I thank God that you had such a wonderfully family to love and nurture you for 18 years. I admire and adore you and I will pray for your mom and brother always. I know for sure that Is what you'd want me to do. Love, Ms. Fun Foskey

Condolence: As a mom I can not imagine what your mom is going through. I wish we could be there for her. You were such a good friend to Ethan and I always enjoyed our talks when I would bring you home from practices. Thanks for being such a good friend to Ethan. You were such a good kid. (Yes that's what I would say to Ethan every time I'd drop you off). Know you're loved and missed.
