James "Jim" Gordon Lunde, 82, passed away August 5, 2016. Jim was born in Madison, SD to the late George and Julia Lunde; besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Helen Braun and brother, Gerald Lunde. He was a member of Grace Lutheran and employed with Norfolk Naval Shipyard and retired after 30 years as a Planner Estimator. Jim also served his country in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War.

Jim was a loving and devoted husband and father, he is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Edna Hobbs Lunde; son, James G. Lunde, Jr. and his wife, Beth; grandchildren, Stephen and Samantha Lunde; as well as numerous other loving family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Monday, August 8 , 2016 from 6-7:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 521 Providence Road, Chesapeake with Rev. Leslie D. Scanlon officiating. He will be laid to rest at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens with military honors.
