O. Jack  Blevins, Sr.
Owen Jack Blevins, Sr., went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2016. A native of WV, he was the son of the late Chester and Hazel Blakeway. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Bill Blevins. Jack graduated from Norview High School, ODU, and William and Mary. He retired as a teacher with the Norfolk Public Schools and was owner of Blevins Construction. Jack was a member of Kempsville Baptist Church. He will be missed by all, but we rejoice in knowing that he is now in heaven with the Lord.

Jack is survived by the love of his life for 55 years, Becky Blevins; his children, Jack, Jr., Steve (Valerie), Michael (Elle) and Suzanne; grandchildren, Seth, Lydia, Logan and Matthew; and brother, Phil Blevins. The family wishes to thank the staff of Kempsville Rehab and the ICU at Leigh for their loving care.

The family will receive friends at Kempsville Baptist Church, 5204 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach on Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 10 to 11 a.m. A service to celebrate his life will begin at 11 a.m. He will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
