Leslie G. "Buster"  Simpson
Leslie G. "Buster" Simpson, 88, passed away June 19, 2016. Leslie was born in Wake Forest, NC to the late Walter and Annie Averett Simpson. Buster served his country in the United States Navy completing his military career as a Senior Chief, he was a veteran of WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War; he also retired as a Communications Technician at Naval Communications Station N.O.B. Norfolk. Buster was a member of Kempsville Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and was also a member of Gideons International.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Mary Frances Simpson; sons, Rev. Fred G. Simpson (Janet) and Rev. Steve Simpson (Ruth); sisters, Letha Palmer and Betsy Raper; grandchildren, Rebekah and Matthew Simpson.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services,1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. A service to celebrate his life will be held Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Kempsville Baptist Church, 5204 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach with his sons and Dr. Kelly Burris officiating followed by full military honors.
