Robert "Robbie" D.  Hasty
Robert "Robbie" D. Hasty, 62, passed away June 7, 2016. Robbie was born in Portsmouth to the late George A. and Kathryn Richards Hasty. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a sister, Sandra Chappell and a brother, Lawrence 'Bubbie" Hasty. He is a member of Raleigh Heights Baptist Church, currently served as the Chairman of the Deacons and member of the Chancel Choir. Robbie was a Latent Fingerprint Examiner with the Norfolk Police Department retiring after 30 years of service. He continued his career in forensics with the Suffolk Police and was currently employed with the Chesapeake Police Department. Robbie was a 1985 graduate of the Virginia Science Academy 23rd Session.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Kathy Dougherty Hasty; daughter, Emily Hasty; sisters, Kathy Szabo (Brian) and Jackie Morrow; in-laws, Newt, Linda and D. J. Dougherty.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 6 to 7:30 pm. A service to celebrate his life will be held Sunday, June 12, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Raleigh Heights Baptist Church, 1000 Crowell Ave, Chesapeake.
