Percy Eugene "Gene"  Parker
CHESAPEAKE- Percy Eugene “Gene” Parker, 85, went to be with the Lord at home with his family by his side, May 23, 2016. He was born in South Norfolk, VA to the late Rufus and Doris Parker. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife of 49 years, Julia Costen Parker. Gene proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War and later retired as a chemist for Texaco, Inc. after 50 years of dedicated service. He was a longtime member at Gospel Hall, Chesapeake. Gene was a sharp witted, quiet, gentle man who was always helping others, especially his family whom he loved.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving daughters, Suzanne Kirby (Kenneth) and Martha White (Doug); son, Jeffery Parker (Patsy); grandchildren, Meagan, Chelsea, Meredith, Jordan, Jared, John and Julianna and numerous other loving family and friends.

A Homegoing Service will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11 am at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Rd., Chesapeake. Burial will follow at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6-7:30 pm.
