Samuel Edward Kovacs "Sammy", 65, passed away on May 15, 2016. Samuel was born in Norfolk to the late Samuel and Frances E. Kovacs. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Barbara.
Sammy retired after 33 years in Civil Service as a High Voltage Electrician. He enjoyed many years of hunting, fishing and playing golf with family and friends. Sammy took pride in being a Master Mason with the Norview Lodge No. 113, as well as the Mini 18 Wheeler Unit of the Khedive Temple.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Carmen Joyner (Lee), grandson, Dylan Joyner, granddaughter, Bethany Joyner, step-son, Jay Buffington, sisters Rose Talbott and Jean Powers along with many other close friends and family.
Please join us for a celebration of Sammy's life at the Khedive Shrine Center at 645 Woodlake Drive, Chesapeake VA. 23320 on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children. Please visit his Book of Memories to leave a condolence for the family.
