Avery  Marcum
Avery Marcum, 87 went to his heavenly home on May 9, 2016. His was born in Lenore, West
Virginia to the late, Herschel “Spud” Marcum and the late, Tempa Terri Marcum. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Elizabeth “Beth” Marcum and a daughter, Nellie Marie Marcum Drautz.
Avery, a retired longshoreman, attended the former Chesapeake First Pentecostal Holiness Church and
was a Past Governor of the Loyal Order of Moose, South Norfolk Lodge #464.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Robin G. Marcum and his wife Penny; his daughter, Kimberly M. Butt, and her husband, George; grandchildren, Dava Dreibelbis and her husband Eric, Luke Marcum and his wife, Nicole, Keri Tessaro, and her husband Tim, Kyle Butt and his wife, Marrisa, Delores Ooten and her husband, James, and Stephanie Mounts, and her husband, Thomas; great grandchildren, Donya, Austin, Dylan, Davyn, Justin, Caden, Alex, Addison, Tabitha, Sarah, Alicen and Tommie. Avery is also survived by Linda Thompson, his fiancée', best friend and caregiver, and her daughters Anna, Patty and Patsy and granddaughter Taylor.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 3 to 5 pm at Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake . A service to celebrate his life will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 12 noon with Dr. Will Langford officiating. He will be laid to rest privately at Rosewood Memorial Park.
