Jean J. England, 84, of Washington Manor, passed away January 28, 2016. Jean was born in Camden County, North Carolina, but has been a resident of Deep Creek since high school. She was the daughter of the late Nathan and Callie Jordan. Besides her parents, Jean was predeceased by her first husband, Lester Shattuck; son, Stanley Shattuck; sister, Edna Whitehead; brothers, Ben, Nelson, Nathan, Leroy and Woodman Jordan. Jean retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard/Supship, Portsmouth and enjoyed many years with her flowers, handcrafts and many friends. She was an avid bowler, reader, exerciser in aerobics class and was a dedicated walker for 10 years.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 46 years, Joseph "Bill" England; sons, Stephen Shattuck and Brinkley Shattuck (Sherry); step-grandchildren, Heather and Tiffany Culbertson; four step-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 1 p.m. with visitation immediately to follow.
