Ronald Joe  Anderson
Ronnie Anderson peacefully passed away November 6, 2015 at his home in Chesapeake. He was born in Wendell, N.C and was predeceased in death by his parents Odell and Violet Anderson. Ronnie moved to Norfolk in 1942 where he attended Norview High School. At the age of 16 and for the next 30 years he worked as a store manager for a local A & P grocery chain until he retired.
Ronnie was the father of 3 wonderful children, Ronica Gregory (Lonnie), Sherry Shadduck (Brinkley) and Joey Anderson (Sandra) whom he truly cherished. Also left to cherish his memory are his 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Gary and Max Anderson; and sisters, Barbara Cox and June Cole. Ronnie was truly blessed to have many wonderful friends, Chris Harmon whom he was very close to for many, many years and shared lots of laughter and joyous times together. Maxi was Ronnie’s best friend and will be remembered as his copilot as they continue to fly high in the sky.
A memorial service for Ronnie J. Anderson will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11am at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Rd., Chesapeake, VA. The family will gather at 10:15 am to greet friends and share a special moment of good memories. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk,VA. All family and friends are invited after for food and refreshments at the home of Lonnie and Ronica Gregory, 2016 Falling Sun Ln., Va.Beach, VA.
