Karen A. Robertson
Karen Antoinette Aultman-Robertson was an amazingly beautiful woman inside and out who touched the lives of many people. She was born November 10, 1967 in Harlem Hospital in New York City, NY to Jennifer James and Alvin Knowles Sr. Karen graduated from Adlai Stevenson High School with honors.
In 1984, shortly after graduating she had her first child, Dominique Javette Aultman. In 1989, While working in Alexander's Department Store she met Sharkish Robertson and through their union they had 4 more children, Sharkish Jr., Miya, Marquis, and Shyreek.
After marrying in 1991, they all relocated to Norfolk, Virginia where she started her career at the Verizon Corporation. Karen was a dedicated worker and did everything that she could to help support the family.
She was lucky to not only have the support of her immediate family, but also her extended family and friends. Karen was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother of six who she cherished with all of her heart.
She leaves behind her mother, Jennifer James, Mitchell James, Sr. (Stepfather), Father, Alvin Knowles, Sr.; (Children) Dominique Aultman, Sharkish Robertson, Jr., Miya and Marquis Roberson (The Twins), and Shyreek Robertson, (Brothers), Alvin Knowles, Jr., Mitchell James, Jr., Derrick James; and sister, Latesha James, (Grandchildren) Elijay, Azaria, Amiya, Zykira, Brandy, and Brandon, Jr. and a host of other family and friends.
