James T.  Wynne
Chesapeake- James T. Wynne, 92, passed away May 12, 2015. He was the son of the late Clarence and Annie Beal Wynne. He was preceded in death by his wife Paxina Spires Wynne. James was a WWII D-Day veteran as a paratrooper with the Army 82nd Airbourne and jumped behind enemy lines in France. He was awarded two Purple Hearts during his service. Throughout his life he enjoyed wood working and worked with Habitat for Humanity building homes until he was 85.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter; Diane Palmer and two additional children, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a sister; Joan Marshall of Vandalara,OH, his caretakers; Katy, Darrel, Sarah, RW, and Keaton Little Bit Moore; several nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
A service to celebrate James''s life will be held on Saturday May 16, 2015 at 4pm at Graham Funeral Home in Chesapeake with Rev. Mark David Pullen officiating. A visitation will be held an hour prior to the service. Memorial donations can be made in his honor to Kids Camp at Tidewater Baptist Church on 1316 Campostella Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23320, Family Foundation of Richmond at 919 E Main St, Richmond, VA 23219, and the Union Mission of Norfolk at 5100 E Virginia Beach Blvd Norfolk, VA 23502 .
