Norman L. Smith Sr. , 87, passed away May 4, 2015 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Pennsylvania on November 15, 1927. Norman was a Golden Eagle of FOE #795 and was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years, Carolyn Smith; one daughter and four sons; Norman Smith Jr., James Smith, Dennis Smith, Susie Jennings, and Garry Smith Sr., 19 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 12:30pm at South Norfolk Baptist Church, 1101 Chesapeake Ave., Chesapeake Va. 23324.
