Chesapeake- Eugene Gene Milton Ellison, 85, died on April 6, 2015 in DePaul Hospital. He was the middle child of Reverend and Mrs. Chauncey W. Ellison and was born on February 14, 1930 in Wilmore, Kentucky.
Gene graduated from Eastern High school in Washington, DC. His working life was spent as a U.S. Army and Department of Defense Mapping Agent.
After retiring, he and his wife, Augusta moved to Great Bridge and joined Oak Grove United Methodist Church where they were active for many years.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Chauncey W. and Edna May Ellison, and his wife, Augusta P. Ellison. He is survived by his younger sister, Margaret J. Couch and older brother, Donald W. Ellison.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday May 16th at Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Chesapeake. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer''s Association, Southeastern Virginia Chapter, or Oak Grove United Methodist Church.
