Edward Norman  Davis, Jr.
CHESAPEAKE- Edward Norman Davis, Jr., 86, passed away March 20, 2015. He was born in Baltimore, MD to the late Edward and Helen Davis. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary N. Davis and oldest grandchild, Cecil G. Scott, Jr. He served his country in the US Air Force for 20 years during WWII, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War and was the recipient of a Bronze Star. After retiring from the military, he went on to work with the York County Sheriff''s Department where he served for 17 years before retiring. Edward was a joker who loved spending time with his grandkids outdoors.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Helen Cherry, Edward N. Davis, III (Tamara) and Linda Scott (Lucky); 6 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Watson (Al); brother, William Davis (Shirley) and numerous other family and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 2 pm at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake with Rev. Ernest Trueblood officiating. The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Rd., Chesapeake Tuesday from 6-7:30 pm.
