CHESAPEAKE- Pearle Taylor Robinson, 102, went to be with her Lord, February 15, 2015. She was born in South Norfolk, VA to the late Robert Lee and Sarah Dews Taylor. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Charles M. Robinson. She was a member for many years at South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and in 1960, she became a member of the United Church of Christ. Pearle was also a member of the Chesapeake Woman''s Club, former member of Portlock Garden Club, life member of VA Federation of Garden Clubs and was formally a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Left to cherish her memory are her Nieces, Myrna F. Clark (Russell), Evelyn B. Hoggard and Joan T. Feehan (Steve); nephew, Robert Taylor and many great nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, Chesapeake at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 with services beginning at 2 p.m. A private burial will take place at Riverside Memorial Park. To honor her memory, members and friends of Christian Church Uniting, (where in 1971 she became an organizing member of First United Church of Christ merging locally with First Church of the Brethren,) are establishing a one-time Memorial Scholarship Fund to be awarded to a graduating senior from Oscar Smith High School in Chesapeake.
