Edward Francis Wood, 78, passed away November 16, 2014. Edward was born in Norfolk to the late Randolph and Beatrice Wood and was the loving husband of 53 years to the late Gloria Wood. Edward proudly served our country in both the United States Army and the National Guard. He enjoyed boxing in the Army and playing his guitar. Edward retired as a butcher from the Commissary in Portsmouth. He was an "all out great dad".
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Donna Tyndell and Janet Wall (Steven); grandchildren, Jonathan Tyndell (Amanda), Jennifer Miller (Robbie), Justin Tyndell (Jennifer), Ronnie Driver (Whitney), Ryan Driver (Monica), and Blake Driver (Dalton); eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Peggy Wood and Pat Sherman; nieces, nephews and numerous other friends.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at Graham Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Albert G.
