Obituary for Jason Warren Tootle

Jason Warren Tootle
Jason Warren Tootle, 39, passed away October 15, 2014 peacefully at home in the arms of his loving wife, Laurel. Jason was born in Statesboro, Georgia to the late Edwin Tootle and Sonya Culpepper Tootle. Besides his father he was predeceased by his grandparents, Warren and Ellen Culpepper, and Ernest and Myrtle Tootle.

Jason was well known among his family, friends, and acquaintances for being an amazing man, but mostly an awesome daddy. He loved his family more than life itself. Born in Georgia, Jason was a faithful Georgia Bulldogs fan. He loved sitting around the campfire with his friends and family, and playing his guitar during neighborhood gatherings in his garage. He loved his country music… and loud! Jason never met a stranger. His journey has inspired so many people. Jason’s integrity was never questioned, it was obvious to everyone that met him that he had something about him that was steadfast and true, with a focus of love and affection that reached out and touched those of us who were privileged to know him.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Laurel Tootle; his children, Ashleigh, Dalton, Jake and Jaycee; his mother, Sonya Tootle-Cooler (Jerry); sister, Heather Tootle-Sparks (Cody); his in-laws, Kip and Karen Allen, and Scotty and Linda Fulk.

Because of the caring and tender son, brother, husband, father, friend, and overall man that he was, Jason Tootle will be sorely missed. But greater than the sorrow from this loss, is the joy that he spread in his life!

When someone we love passes away, there is a strong temptation to remember their life. Only the most shining characteristics of our loved ones make it into the memory of them that lives within our hearts after they depart.

A service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, October 18, 2014, at 1:00 pm at Graham Funeral Home and all are invited to attend a reception which will immediately follow at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers at the request of the family memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society: www.youcaring.com/medical-fundraiser/jason-tootle-s-fight-against-lymphoma/94368
or to the Tootle family c/o McKenry, Dancigers, Dawson PC,192 Ballard Court, Suite 400 Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462.

Please visit his book of memories at www.grahamfuneralhome.com to view the service if unable to attend and to leave a note to the family.
