Imelda Lee "Patsy" Cowan, 82, passed away July 23, 2014. Patsy was born in Portsmouth, Virginia to the late William Ashbury and Gertrude Schwalenberg Ashbury and was the loving wife of the late James Howard Cowan Sr..She was employed by the Virginia Beach Public School System for over 40 year and was a Roman Catholic.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Janice C. Rumsey, James H. Cowan Jr and his wife Jean, William "Joe" Cowan, and John M. Cowan; sister, Dorothy Hopper; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
