At Graham Funeral Home, our entire staff is devoted to assisting each family throughout the difficult days surrounding its loss. We strive to treat each family as we would our own.

S. Scott Stroud, Owner and Licensed Funeral Director

A native of Chesapeake. Scott resides in the Hickory area of the city. He has four daughters and eight grandchildren.  
 
Scott is a member of Great Bridge Baptist Church; graduate of Great Bridge High School and a graduate of the Mid-America College of Mortuary Science in Indiana. He is licensed as a funeral director and embalmer in both Virginia and North Carolina. He is a member of the International Cemetery Cremation and Funeral Association, a member of the Independent Funeral Homes of Virginia, having served a term as president and is a member of the Tidewater Funeral Directors Association.

F. Duane Jarrell, Licensed Mortician and Preneed Funeral Director

F. Duane Jarrell is a lifelong resident of the Tidewater area who grew up in the Bayview/Ocean View area's of Norfolk before moving to Chesapeake over 25 years ago and currently resides in the Deep Creek Area.

He attended Norview Senior High School, Tidewater Community College and is a 1986 Honors Graduate of the Mid-America College of Funeral Service where he received the Prestigious "Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award" as well as served on the class council of the college for that year.

A Commonwealth of Virginia Licensed Funeral Service Provider since 1986, he holds certification from the National Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards and is nationally recognized as such. He also is licensed by the Virginia State Corporation Commission as a licensed Insurance Agent.

Having served thousands of families in their time of need, He is in charge of the Preneed Division where he holds an appointment by Homesteaders Life Insurance Company.

Duane can be reached 24 hours a day to discuss any type of services whether it be on a preneed basis or an immediate need. He invites his many friends he has made over the years to visit him at Graham Funeral Homes state of the art facility for a tour. He also encourages families to visit and compare our services and prices to those of other conglomerate firms or supposedly "discount" competitors.

Ryan N. Moore, Licensed Mortician and Funeral Director

Ryan N. Moore is a lifelong resident of Hampton Roads who grew up in the Pungo and Kempsville areas of Virginia Beach. He received his diploma from Floyd E. Kellam High School and immediately began his career in the funeral profession.  Ryan is a 2008 graduate of the Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science, finishing in the top of his class and receiving the distinguished student leader title from services as Student Council President, and Pi Sigma Eta National Mortician's Fraternity Master Artist. Aside from being a Licensed Funeral Provider in the Commonwealth of Virginia, he is also a licensed by the Virginia State Corporation Commission as a licensed Insurance Agent.

Ryan has an extensive amount of experience in funeral service. He is pleased to serve all faiths, cultures, and facilitate customs including military honors as well as those of special organizations. He is well versed with matters involving tissue and organ donation having served as a Medical Investigator of Donation for the Lions Medical Eye Bank and Research Center, working hand in hand with LifeNet Health. His work has granted sight to hundreds of individuals internationally and in many cases, saved lives. He is a skilled Embalmer and talented Restorative Artist. Ryan has aided families during their time of need and helped them arrange their funerals in advance all over the Tidewater area.

Ryan would like to encourage anyone to call and speak with him whether it be in regards to a prearrangement, immediate need, or visit him for a tour of our state of the art facilities.

Amelia was born and raised here in Chesapeake and resides in the Great Bridge area with her husband, Aaron and sons, Lane and Jesse.  She is a graduate of Hickory High School and earned an associate degree in Business Management from Tidewater Community College.  Amelia started at Graham Funeral Home when she was just 15 years old, and quickly realized her passion for helping families in their time of need.  More than a decade later she is still proud to be part of the family business working alongside her father and sisters.

Marie B. Smith

Marie is a native of Elizabeth City, NC and earned an associate degree at the College of the Albemarle and graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. She retired in 2010 having worked beside her husband for 35 years; Marie continues to be a part of Graham Funeral Home using her talents as a pianist for services. Marie is a member of Kempsville Baptist Church (www.kempsvillebapist.com), and is also an active member and past International Officer of the Auxiliary of Gideons International (www.gideons.org).
